Three times the fun!

Josh and Katelyn ("Doshie & TayTay" as Bailey would say) came over today and played a little while. Fun times had by all! Sure is fun trying on hats!

Notice we gave Josh the honor of wearing the WVU hat! Go Mountaineers!

The perfect hiding place. Ben will never find me in the closet!

Katelyn loved the pony

Why does my kid always look like a crazy person?

Making Valentines!

Why did we have all this snow? B/C my mom has a voodoo snow doll!!! Well, it is really a door decoration, but I made her take it down!

Let it snow? Well, it did!

More snow---digging out again!

The first snow was beautiful and fun to watch, and we all gathered inside and ate popcorn and sat around the fire and played. The second snowfall, which came starting Tuesday morning and ending Wednesday night, was just as impressive, another 20 inches of snow. Only this time, there were blizzard conditions and Ben was snowed in at a hotel, where he was taking a certification class, so Bailey and I were solo for snow-in #2, which was fun for a few days, but I think I was already done when the second snow began. Thursday we dug out again (with the help of Jack, Matthew, & Colson---thank you boys) and I shuttled my mom home from work where she had been snowed in Tues-Thurs. (She's a nurse) and hung out at my parents' house a little while. We got to visit with neighbors tooBen was home again Thursday night, thankfully and the great snow melt is hopefully beginning!

We did a lot of jumping on the bed to occupy ourselves.
I think Bailey wore pajamas for three days straight!

The house---so inviting, blanketed with the white stuff.
I swear we have grass in our front yard, I can't remember when we saw it last though!

Jill snuggling with Bailey during our trip to the Jahries.
I swear neighbors were my saving grace!

Wednesday evening we went over to the Kahnert's house next door and Bailey played with Anika, Bria, and Ethan! Dinner was wonderful---thank you!

Digging out!!!

Bailey trying to shovel at the Jahries' house

Where's the truck?

The family taking a walk after the FIRST snow, starting Friday night and ending Saturday morning. The first snow fall was about 30 inches. I'd say that would have been enough!

Drifts covering the steps up to the door

The snow was so deep Dutch was buried. She had to leap out each time to get anywhere. After that, she stuck to the shoveled paths!

The largest icicle ever (somewhat resembling a stalagtite)...which later pulled off half our gutter when it fell. Glad no one was around when it came down!

First Haircut---finally!

A few weeks ago we took Bailey for her first haircut...you wouldn't know it now, since its grown back some and always hangs in her eyes since she won't keep a bow or rubberband in her hair! Ugh---trying not to cave in and give her bangs!

All giggly because she got a lollipop!
