Saturday at the Zoo!

We headed to the zoo on Saturday with our friends Julia, Scott, & Will and spent a few hours wearing the kids (& ourselves) out in the sunshine!

An evening at Loch Raven

One of our favorite things to do as a family is to feed the geese at Loch Raven. We headed there last week to enjoy the sunshine and great outdoors...

This is for the birds...

Wednesday, Bailey and I decided it was time for a craft. With spring finally here (almost), we made some bird feeders. After gathering pine cones at the playground, our craft was underway!

Pinecones...
Peanut butter and birdseed, both of which I am sure Bailey ate quite a bit of!
Whahlah!

The birdfeeders have since disappeared, which I am sure Dutchess (our dog) had something to do with! I noticed her jumping up at them later that day!

Babies and bellies!

A few weeks ago (b/c I never upload pictures or update this blog in a reasonable time!), I got to visit my "brother" Zach's (and his wife Jenn's) new twins-Eva & Liam! Thing one and thing two were absolutely adorable!!! Later that day, I headed to my (high school) friend Kelly's parents' house for her baby shower! I am so excited for her!!! Congrats Kelly!!! Our friend Jen, is having baby #2 in a few months two! What a great day spending time with new babies and great friends!

Quesadilla Night!

Well, I know what my next kitchen appliance purchase will be! A Quesadilla maker! We borrowed this one from our neighbors and making dinner has never been so fun!

Shiner!

Bailey got her first shiner a few weeks ago. The way she obtained it was quite impressive actually. Think of the TV show Wipeout. Bailey was running past our friend's sofa with a large bouncy ball in hand and misjudged her space...and bounce...backwards she went, somehow whacking her brow bone right into a dining room chair. A little blood and tears later, she was band-aided up & good as new. The black eye appeared the next day. Black eyes are like a right of passage into childhood, right? Did I mention I can't get Bailey to hold still for a picture, ever?...but I sort of captured the colorfulness of her brow.

15 days to go...

....until spring.

I can feel the relief and giddiness as I anticipate all things GREEN and alive and growing and new!!! Did I mention being outside, going to the playground, the zoo, opening the windows, planting the garden, seeing the daffodils come up, longer days, and MORE sunshine!

We have been regulars at the playground the past week. I am not the only one with a smile!

Pretty soon it will be flip flop time...oh I can't wait!
