Last week, Bailey had transfusion #9 down at Hopkins...she had a rough morning and was definitely ready for a transfusion. Had gotten fussy and had a poor appetite. Surprisingly, her energy remained the same!!! Her HGB was 8.4, so it wasn't too low, so they didn't give her quite as much blood as usual. After a refill of the wonderful red fuel, and a nap, she was good to go. Bailey's Mom-Mom came with us and spent the day at Hopkins with us (thank you!!!). The plan is for Bailey to have one more transfusion then start steroids the next day...so we are looking at mid-Oct. I had pictures taken at Sears today, since her appearance will be different (moon face) from the steroids once she starts! For more details on her DBA journey and last transfusion/treatment plan, you can visit her caring bridge page at www.caringbridge.org/visit/baileylightner.Mom-Mom reading to Bailey...
Bailey is chewing on Wonder Woman's head!

Can you tell she is tired and ready for a transfusion?

The clowns came around to provide entertainment
in the clinic...Bailey was not a fan!
